Alliance Donne, Italian Women of Québec is a non-profit organization, the first of its kind, dedicated to representing women of Italian heritage in Québec and Canada. We highlight and support their contributions and interests across many sectors through conferences, networking events, mentorship programs, and cultural projects.
This exhibition is currently in development in partnership with the MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises and supporting partners, with a launch planned for 2026. We look forward to unveiling it in 2026, details coming soon.
This project honors Italian immigrant women who worked in Montreal’s textile industry after WWII. Alliance Donne is presenting their audio testimonies through an exhibition with heritage artifacts, an interactive fabric-and-photo artwork, and a literary collection of their stories.
