We are excited to bring this project to life in 2026.  It will be presented in exhibition at the MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises, our main collaborator on this initiative.

This project pays tribute to the Italian immigrant women who worked in Montreal’s textile industry in the period following the Second World War. Alliance Donne highlights their precious audio testimonies through a multifaceted exhibition featuring artifacts from this rich cultural heritage, a participatory collective work of fabric and photographs, manipulated by the public during the exhibition and a literary publication of their stories.
